In a TG (that isn't on water based maps) imo it is better for Vik to sling. Best civ for slinging.
But u depend on ally (or allies) to end game fast + keep u alive.

That's a fair call, the Viks would be pretty good for slinging, didn't think of that. I don't usually play with the intention of slinging, so it didn't occur to me that there were civs best at it

Either way, I'm not going to be picking Viks anytime soon, but it's been good having an actual on topic discussion

bomber towers.. i just fought a post-imp war with spainish who built 30 bomber towers in his base.. cant fight that with huns lol

i killed 2castles(he was repairing it for like 1min with many vills) and some bomber towers.. thats like 2000 stone right there and he still built 30 bombers.. i controlled his big stone for like over 20min too.. idk he sold gold or something. it was a retarded game.. lol

The civ that I find lamest to play that always draws a groan when I get them in open random map games has to be teutons. I just can't deal with that lack of speed and the reliance on gold, I'm much happier with loads of trash - give me Byzantines any day. Huns and Vikings also get mentions for having pretty dull unique units, heard they may change a little with Forgotten Empires.

playstyle with them is just ridiculous and relatively easy, especially aztecs. I see people mentioning viks cuz they're the weakest, but not the lamest imo.

well water itself is lame by default ( basically one unit to fight, limited space and just pure massing and doesn't even require a micro later on etc etc), and viks only get lil cheaper docs that goes for whole team or lil cheaper warships and that's it. Following that logic we could say that goths and byz are lame as fuck too.
