Really promising patch notes! "Saving during a game should no longer cause a desync when watching the replay" sounds like a really cool feature, if it actually works. "Villagers should now respond to weak units attacking" not sure about this one, how do they define weak units?

Villagers responding to weak units is an AI feature.

In 5.1 villagers wouldn't fight back correctly against starting scouts, eagle scouts, militia (drush), spearmen and maybe a few other units correctly, instead they would run up to the enemies units and begin dancing with them in turn making the AI lose a ton of villagers needlessly. Now they correctly fight back (assuming they can win that fight)

I hate the map generation of ara on hd.

userpatch will have the same improvements, they write on their 1.5 release. If hd is good like this I can imagine how voobly will be with 1.5. Units will move even before click :mrgreen:

But who knows what voobly will implement from userpatch. I think they didn't implement everything from the 1.4 either. The network part is still 1.0c.

This is a fairly important update for those following 5.2a beta.

According to morness they are basically going to release 5.2, and 5.3 together(should still be called 5.2 but by the time it goes live will have basically all of 5.3 in it). The path finding fixes were not able to be added in the current beta, but are present in what was the begging of 5.3 beta. They are enough of an issue where they are not allowing 5.2 to be released yet.

Looks like a longer wait for 5.2 to go live, but it will be a rather big update when it does go. Sounds like we'll get a new beta build soon to start testing.
