Unique setting and balance patches was a response to feedback by both the audience and players concerning fatique when it comes to "classic" settings. Saying that the organizers of the tournaments have lost their way, if everything mostly has stayed the same over the last few years in terms of organisation eems to be quite ignorantto me. Also I think you are contradicting yourself, when praising Zero for his "ways" of handling a torunament, when the settings and organisation are not similar to the ones you are pleading for in your first paragraph.

Wow, kind of sickening viewing a lot of the comments. The best player streams for 24 hours with well over 1k views the whole time, and everyone is just shitting on it here. Is it that hard to not post something or does this place have to be as cancerous as possible?

Anyway, back to the topic. My fav moment was ash telling viper that they didn't play the treb start forest nothing, and viper trying to process what just happened. Viper's team lost.

Well, actually there are two people being rather negative. Not everyone.

If that's aimed at me, I do not consider honest criticism to constitute "being negative". If the Viper doing a 24-hour stream is considered one of the highlights of the year, it's no wonder it becomes harder to get a game in Medieval Siege when the Viper is streaming. Different year, same problem.

I'm surprised how this simple topic by Carlini turned out to be this massive discussion just because of his starting sentence in the first post. It's a bit silly to see it becoming partly a discussion of whether my stream was a big event or not, if AOE2 is daed gaem or not and so on, when it's just a topic to discuss my 24 hour stream. Who cares if you regard it a big event or not? Whether something is big or not will be different from person to person anyway. ^^

I think it's a very good idea to open topics for events like this, COTH, T90's RR, and so on, for both small and larger events. If there's a gathering place where everyone can throw in their thoughts, criticism, opinions and maybe link highlights and such it would be awesome. I would definitely be checking these type of topics out to catch whatever I woulda missed.
