windows 8(preview) aoc menu buttons color problem

My aoc game menu colors are a huge mess.
btw this is not map graphics issue,color patch still works, but all colors on game buttons and also players names etc are a huge mess.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

W8 is better in looks but very suxx for using.Even shutting down takes more than 4-5 mouse clicks.
I'm not sure whether it is graphics driver issue or w8 issue.

I've had the same problem with the beta. I agree it is not the same map graphic color issue we had with Windows Vista/7. That does not seem to be present for me when I run AOC on Windows 8. The text colors in the menu are a darker red and hard to read. In the game itself, my selected color of magenta is instead cyan when the game runs.

I am guessing that something has changed in Windows 8 where base colors are mixed up. Cyan and Magenta are base colors. I have posted this same issue with Microsoft here:

I list at Microsoft what they suggested and what I have tried to do to fix the issue so far - with no success. If they hear from more of us, perhaps they will do something about it. I will bookmark this page and check back regularly to see if there is a solution. I'm still a die-hard AOC player and want to see some resolution so we can play for years to come!

THANK YOU MICROSOFT! I just installed the Windows 8 Release Preview (one step up from the Beta). This one has no problems with Age of Conquerors as the Beta had. All text is now in the correct white color on the main menu and all teams have the correct color in the game. The screen graphics all work properly as well - the issues that were there with Vista and 7 are fixed!

One minor annoyance is that when you go to the bottom right or left corner, the charms bar on the right or the thumbnails bar on the left appear and annoy the game visually. To me, this should be turned off when in a full screen game.
