How to Stream AoC -- UPDATED 2/15/2012

ok so now xsplit has changed for final version, and free users wont be able to stream on stereo audio anymore, only mono and it rlly sux, especially for the ones that make commentary, any ideas on a new program?

im gona try fmle or windows media encoder...

At least I am able to stream AoK / AoC trough only 32 bit color mode from voobly (In order to do this you need to set screen to record whole display, not just part of it)
If you have:
1. Blackscreen problems with this it is usually because of you have not set your display colors from control panel / display settings to 32-bit colors.
2. Resolution problems (1/3 of screen either from top or bottom of your screen is missing) it is because your display resolution is in wrong scale. you can change this option from control panel / display


If u have problems with screen only showing 1/4 or 1/2 screen when streaming trough xplit you just need to change between scenes to fix the problem. This can be easily done by setting hotkeys (from xplit tools / general settings / hotkeys) to change scenes.
My screen changes every time I start a game or quit a game to 1/2 mode but I just click numpad 8 key to change fast to brb scene and then numpad 7 key to change back to main scene and the problem is fixed.


About audio if you like xplit overall I think buying premium for 2 years with 40 $ is not too bad price Of course if it is too expensive there are always ways of getting such things for free.

Streamers, update your stream information so, that you show on twitch.tv as Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors Expansion player http://www.twitch.tv/directory/Age%20of ... Conquerors

You can update it at Click your own profile-> Dashboard->Title this broadcast

quick suggestion: I see on other streams that the default page when reaching your stream can be on videos or on Info. Making it default on Info would help with the chipin button, maybe.

edit: is it possible, when you are not online, to have old streams play as replays in loop? That would surely raise your views a lot...

edit2: plan a multi streamers replay schedule to have 10 or more Age of Empires channels online at the same time and get on the front page more often

Do you really want to use local recording? I would suggest to start googling it or posting at help forums in Xsplit forums or visiting Xsplit mIRC. People are really helpful there.

About the latter problem I would suggest posting to help forums in Xsplit forums. I tried googling it, but I got only one japanese/chinese topic with a lot of replies.
